Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Lise Alschuler has always remained dedicated in her pursuit to seek out only the best possible care for her patients. Receiving her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in 1994, Dr. Alschuler quickly established herself as an advocate of quality care in the profession, developing the Emerson Quality Program at Emerson Ecologics, rigorously raising the industry standards of natural products for integrative providers. Subsequently, Dr. Alschuler took on the position of Executive Director at TAP Integrative, a web-based resource for integrative practitioners, providing a vast database of educational content to enhance the learning opportunities for naturopathic doctors everywhere.   When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, Dr. Lise Alschuler put her tools as a naturopathic doctor to the test. Integrating natural therapies including diet and exercise into conventional chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Dr. Alschuler emerged from her experience feeling healthier and more revitalized than ever before. Dr. Alschuler has since brought her integrated treatment plan to a larger audience, publishing two books, numerous articles and a multi-media initiative known as Five to Thrive. Dr. Alschuler is now recognized as one of the leading experts in cancer treatment as well as one of the naturopathic industry's top practitioners, receiving the AANP’s Physician of the Year award in 2014.
