Lisa Shaver, ND, MSOM

From natural therapies, to Chinese medicine, to training in digestion disorders, one would be hard pressed to find a more perfect example of an integrated physician than Dr. Lisa Shaver. With a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from NCNM, a Masters of Science in Oriental medicine, and a license in acupuncture, Dr. Shaver combines a vast array of disciplines and medicine into her practice, Everyday Wellness Clinic, which focuses on chronic lifestyle diseases, including gluten intolerance, Celiac disease, and other digestive disorders. She also focuses on a variety of other conditions including mental and emotional imbalances and autoimmune conditions as well as treating victims of motor vehicle accidents through the perspective of Chinese medicine.

Dr. Shaver’s passion for eating well has led her to become an enthusiastic advocate of nutrition and gluten free lifestyles, from lecturing on the subject at the Naturopathic Gastroenterology Conference, to serving as branch manager of the Portland chapter of the Gluten Intolerance Group, to coordinating the annual Gluten-Free Food Fair. Dr. Shaver regularly teaches cooking classes on healthy eating, and shares recipes online and with her patients. Dr. Shaver also spends her time as an active volunteer, working with the American Red Cross, and the Peace Corps, including four years served in the Central African Republic as a public health educator.
